The TaylorMade R11 Irons combine the distance and forgiveness found in the Burner 2.0 along with the feel and precision of the Tour Preferred line. The R11s are designed for the player who favours a traditional blade but appreciates the near effortless ease needed to launch the ball high, long and straight.
Historically, irons engineered with multiple game-improvement technologies are big, inelegant and clunky, with thick toplines, broad soles and busy-ugly cavities. Typically, they can feel harsh and sound high-pitched and “clicky”. The TaylorMade R11 iron breaks that mold and rewrites the book about what a high-technology iron can look like, feel like and sound like.
The TaylorMade R11 irons are definitely not blades or a set of tour only clubs. Designed with more forgiveness in mind they appeal to a much larger audience. The TaylorMade R11 irons' short irons have a shallow undercut channel between the face and rear to control feel and CG location, the mid-irons have a moderate undercut, and the long irons have a progressively larger undercut that pulls weight farther back from the face for added forgiveness.
At impact, the R11 feels and sounds more muted (quieter) than the loud-ish Burner 2.0 because the R11's clubface is slightly thicker in the impact zone and where it connects to the sole.
Lastly, the R11’s short irons have a shallow undercut channel between the face and rear to control feel and CG location (you can see it easily in the photo of the 5-iron below), the mid-irons have a moderate undercut, and the long irons have a progressively larger undercut that pulls weight farther back from the face for added forgiveness.

Nice club and great to help line up my shot. The club is probably a bit too adjustable and you can hit all kinds of bad shot then perhaps a few lessons would have been more beneficial.

The TaylorMade Burner SuperFast 2.0 Driver is the Best Taylormade Driver! After used this driver, I actually gained 30 yards on my drive. I also measured my swing speed at the local golf store and I found that I gained 5-8 mph. WOW... I have to agree Taylormade #1 in driver! ... oh did I mention, the white head looks awesome!!!!
